SCC 2018 Annual Case Competition
The SCC Case Competition is sponsored by Chemonics International. Our judges include experienced consultants from Chemonics, Dahlberg, the UN Capital Development Fund, AT Kearney, and AlixPartners, and Joel Gallo, an expert financial services industry consultant who has held director and senior-level positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and Deloitte.

The competition will be divided into two tracks: A private sector consulting case and a public sector consulting case. Students will compete in teams. Each team must select one of the two tracks to compete in. We welcome all graduate students and advanced degree candidates as participants.
Students who would like to participate should form their own team; 3-5 people per team
There should only be one registration per team
Registration ends at 5 pm on Monday, October 29; no late registrations will be accepted
The first round of screening questions (mini-case) will be sent out on Monday, October 29 to teams that successfully register before the deadline
The first round prescreening response (PowerPoint presentation) will be due at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, October 31
The semi-finalists announcement will take place on Friday, November 2
12 teams will be selected as semi-finalists; 6 for the private sector track and 6 for the public sector track
Materials for the final case will be sent out to all semi-finalists on Friday, November 2
The final case response (PowerPoint) will be due at 5 pm on Friday, November 9
The final case competition will take place on November 10 at the International Affairs Building at Columbia
This event is free for SCC paid-members, and $10 per person for non-SCC members. Participants can either choose to join SCC by paying our membership fee of $30 or pay the case competition event fee of $10. (Payment will be made after registration confirmation)
